For reference, I personally wear a 40" waist, 30" long jeans.  The XL fit me well.

Inseam: Length of inside seam to the bottom of the hem.

The sizes below refer to the waist relaxed, that is not stretched.  If you are on the border of a size, I personally would go down as they will stretch quite a bit.

The waist relaxed measures the following:

Small- 12.5 inches
Medium- 14.5 inches
Large- 16.5 inches
XL- 18.5 inches
2XL- 20.5 inches
3XL- 22.5 inches


The full circumference should be as follows:

Small- 25 inches
Medium- 29 inches
Large- 33 inches
XL- 37 inches
2XL- 41 inches
3XL- 45 inches
